Naruto chapter 597 who is tobi

Talk is cheap. It moves people, and in this case, Kurama steps up to bat for Naruto, washing away the seed of doubt Tobi is trying hard to plant. Overall, this was a veeeeeery interesting chapter in terms of the Tobi.

It served to answer a couple questions about the man of mystery and raise a few more. I wonder how the plan of attack on Tobi will change?? And if so, what did he do with it…? Crazy Tobi Theory Time!! We have to milk it while it lasts! In this way, Tobi can claim to be Madara and nobody and be right either way. Naruto even managed to become friends with Kurama and use his power. Naruto won't fail! The explanation of the jutsu was a little confusing to me at first, so I hope my explanation in the summary is clear enough.

I spent most of the chapter going 'omigod omigod is it going to be Tobito? It seems that probably Tobi is someone else who just stole Obito's eye otherwise he wouldn't have gotten the eye at the bridge, he would've been born with it. However, he knows a lot about Kakashi, even about his repeated visits to the grave. Has he been watching Konoha this whole time? Surely if he's so obsessed with the people of Konoha, he must have some connection to them I still think Tobi must be a character we've either seen or heard of before in the manga--introducing a new character out of the blue so close to the ending seems like bad writing.

And I also recall something said on another forum I'm part of, about a masked character in a video game--when the mask is taken off, what we see must surprise us, because otherwise the drama of removing the mask is lost. There is one possibility--that he is someone the characters have seen but we have not.

However, I feel like with all the times his face has been teased to the readers, when we finally get to see it, it will have some clear meaning to us and won't be just a never-before-seen character. The explanation of how Tobi's jutsu works and of how Kakashi figured it out is quite clever, and I was really happy about that--clever fights are more interesting than just slugfests. Now on to the drama at the end of the chapter Tobi's motives become more clear although to me, it feels like every time he explains them to explanation changes slightly.

He wants to create a world that isn't filled with cruel regrets like reality. Kakashi is shaken by his words, remembering his visits to Obito's grave However, Naruto shouts back at him, not at all swayed by Tobi's words--he won't give up his dream to be the Hokage!

This is what he said before, but this time we get something else, a bit more significant: he's been entrusted with many people's wishes and hopes and he won't let them down.

The crux of Tobi's reply is that he thinks Naruto is inevitably going to fail and then everyone--both Naruto and the people who trusted him--will be left bitter and hollow much like Tobi itself, it would seem. Tobi has no hope: he seems to believe that positive change is impossible. Perhaps this is why he previously said he wanted to make a world with no heroes: he believes they all fail in the end.

And then Kurama's reply to that He basically says 'but Naruto won't fail'. Assuming that Obito is likely dead for sure then Rin should be Tobi. Who guessed that and meant it?!?!? I already find it fishy that the kyubi is on good terms with him. Tobi is right, if naruto ends up bringing peace then it's just by the hands of the plot now what tobi mentioned, he got the eye in the same war where obito died, still I don't think it's obito, I think kishimoto is just trolling us, all we know is that he has his eye.

Well, his name is almost an anagram of obito after all This chapter's color spread reminds me of the one Tite Kubo did for Bleach a couple of years back.

Man tobi is starting to give me a headache just say who you are, I'm sure kakashi can atleast recognise you. Hypeathon said: This chapter's color spread reminds me of the one Tite Kubo did for Bleach a couple of years back.

Personaly I think it would be interesting if it was Obito. I've always liked to think Tobi was Obito but something really obvious just occurred to me. It really can't be him. We saw the fourth fight Tobi, right when Naruto was born and Tobi appears to be the same height and inferred age.

Obito would have been around the age of when the fourth fought Tobi. Unless they pull in some BS Space time super jutsu out of thin air, I don't think it's possible for him to be Obito. I'm wondering how much time passed between Obito's death and Naruto's birth. Because in that time, Tobi would have had to taken the eye, "level" it to Mangekyo and master a space time jutsu flawlessly.

I'm guessing everyone already figured this out, I'm just a little slow. I'm starting to think that Tobi is a previously unintroduced character that Kakashi battled before.

I'm guessing maybe he was involved in Rin's death. Also, I'm getting a little sick of Naruto. Not because he's bad, but because he's becoming repetitive. It's not even him, it's just the dialog and the writing. Gee, I wonder what you are going to do. Charge with a rasengan? I understand that they figured out Tobi's jutsu but still, move the fight along please. Wow, love the color pages! Well it seems the information from saiyan island was correct after all before the chapter released.

In any case this was freaken awesome, kakashi i swear, he is so fcking brilliant, he never ceases to amaze me. He is by far my most favorite character in naruto. I liked how they shown a color panel of how much growth naruto has went through from when he first began his shinobi career to his current state. He has come quite a ways. Yeah its getting closer and closer to the actual truth of tobi's identity, especially kakashi said "YOU" i think kakashi knows exactly who he is and probably when the reveal happens, its kakashi that is going to mention his name.

One thing is for certain, we do not know the extent of tobi's abilities yet, for all we know since he can create space time jutsu's he may even be able to manipulate time it self and appear in the past or the future. After all he was able to do it in "road to the ninja" movie. That would explain why he knows so much bout the world and is able to manipulate every one in order to achieve his dreams.

Their is still that possibly that tobi could be obito. But it would be cool if kishi was just trolling us and the answer was something we didn't expect. Because if it was Obito, its been so hinted upon at this point it would just kind of anticlimactic. I believe next chapter will probably reveal it. Kishimoto said a couple more weeks and its been about that. View form History Talk Do you like this video? Play Sound. This is the article on the chapter. Summary Urging Kakashi to explain it in the simplest way possible so that they could readjust their strategy, Guy and the others listen on as Kakashi explains that Tobi 's ability to become intangible and absorb things were one and the same.
